About Lynette Hill


Lynette’s repertoire includes folklore and fable as well as comic and historic stories of her native America. She creates original stories and also tells traditional tales.

She is currently developing a weekly storytelling radio show for Milton Keynes Hospital radio.

Lynette regularly performs at Storytelling at the Feast of Fools at Delapre Abbey in Northampton and at events around the Milton Keynes and Northampton areas. She has performed at Northampton’s Umbrella Festival and Bardic Picnic and with Scribal Gathering in Stony Stratford and at the first MK Lit Fest in 2017. She also performs at schools, places of worship and multi-cultural events.

Currently training with internationally renowned storyteller Shonaleigh, she also works with Stony Stratford storyteller Terrie Howey (also known as Red Phoenix). She often takes classes at the International School of Storytelling (now a part of Emerson College). She has trained with Ashley Ramsden, and at The Bleddfa in Powys, Wales with Michael Harvey.

Lynette began her professional life as a newspaper reporter. She is also the author of the Glass Singers fantasy novel series, now available on Amazon.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, she spent much of her childhood on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines and currently resides in middle England. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
